I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California and have been licensed for about 10 years now. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame in Anthropology in 2004. I also received my Masters in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago in 2005. Finally, I received my Masters degree from the University of Chicago in 2012 in Social Work with a clinical concentration. My professors used to tease me and call me the "thermometer" because I had so many degrees. I actually love learning (I do not love studying) and am a true "book worm." I love science and built my own telescope when I was in high school. I have seen several stars (Arcturus and Vega) and Neptune through high powered telescopes which were absolutely beautiful. I have also done walk on roles in two professional Shakespeare productions (Henry VI, part 1 and 2) at the Old Globe at Balboa Park and the experience was amazing. Highly recommend.

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. I have extensive experience working with diverse communities, including immigrants, families, and individuals. I also have experience navigating complex legal and social systems. I like to integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing to support clients across the lifespan. My clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed care, with a strong focus on empowerment, resilience, and advocacy. I am passionate about creating a safe, affirming space where clients can heal, grow, and thrive.
